Activity Club:

As part of the expansion of the Early Years’ service set out in the FACT Ballincollig FRC Strategic Plan 2021-2024 the Activity Club began on 30th August 2021 with 18 children participating.

The aim of the Activity Club is to provide a fun afterschool environment with hot, nutritious food and a range of social activities promoting independent thinking and confidence building. We catered for junior infants to fourth class, 15 children.  Two of the Early years team lead this service providing a warm and inclusive environment to engage the school aged children. Support with homework is offered if needed. Many of the children are participating in 2-3 sessions per week.

Currently we provide 22 places (Primary school) from Monday to Thursday afternoons, 1:30 to 5pm during the normal school year. The club is led by a room leader and an assistant of the early years childcare team. We aim to create an environment that makes young people want to learn and support each other in this.

Service available:

Mon to Fri: 1.30p.m. to 5p.m.

€5.60 per hour NCS subsidy can be applied
