Ballincollig FRC Therapy Hub

What is the Therapy Hub?

Ballincollig FRC Therapy Hub aims to provide a safe, compassionate and supportive environment to those who wish to improve their mental health through our therapy services. We offer low cost therapies to both children and adults. The ethos of our service is that of inclusivity, as a result, peoples financial circumstances should never be a barrier to accessing therapy services and we can discuss a sliding scale if required.

Therapy is offered through the mediums of talk therapy, play therapy and art therapy.

We work with clients experiencing some of the following; mental health difficulties, anxiety, depression, loss & grief, developmental trauma, attachment issues, domestic violence, ADHD, ASD and neurodivergence.

The history of the service

Our colleague Maria O’Connell was passionate in her belief of the beneficial impact of both art and play therapy as mediums of support for both children and adults. Maria worked tirelessly in during the summer of 2021 to plan and design a therapy space along with the project manager. Maria’s vision for the Ballincollig FRC Therapeutic Hub was to provide an environment to help children and adults make sense of their lives using art and creative play.

All referrals for our therapy service can now be done online.
